NY recognizes Canadian same-sex marriages

Greats news out of New York state last week with this court ruling.

If the ruling holds up on appeal, it will mean for all practical purposes, same-sex marriage is legal in the state of New York because people can easily cross the border to get married, say observers.

This is an excellent opportunity for Canada to cater to a niche market. I mean, all of the homosexual North Americans must number in the millions and Im sure many would travel here to make the distinction between civil unions and full-out marriage.

Gay and Right (over at the BT's) has some good coverage on this too.
